We pray for wisdom and guidance, in Jesus name, Amen We thank you for the faith we have, and the perseverance you are growing in us, that leads to maturity in You. We thank you that you are always beside us in every test and trial. The next time spiritually you find yourself in ‘the dark room trial’, turn your faith on and see what God has in store for you.įather God, we thank you for your love and care for us. We must use our faith, trust in His goodness, and wait upon the Lord. He loves us so much that He intentionally puts us through all sorts of test, trials, hardships, situations, and circumstances. If we had everything we ever needed and wanted, never faced any difficulties or hardships, and never got into a situation we couldn’t see the way out, then why would we ever need to have any sort of relationship with God. God desires intimacy and a personal relationship with Him and for us to learn about His vastness. No, God earnestly desires for us to grow and mature and that requires perseverance and we get perseverance via Hope and Faith. We could see the whole room, what everything looks like, get the whole picture, and see our exit out. Then we wouldn’t need a flashlight, we wouldn’t need faith. We often tend to think that when God puts us in the room, it would be easier for Him and way easier for us, if He just turned on a bright light. He is strategic in what He allows us to see, what is going on, and what He is up to. Our faith helps us get a glimpse of what God is doing.

Our faith in God allows us to see some aspects, some things around the situation. We need something to direct us, guide us in our circumstances. We know God puts us there, we know there is a way out, but we cannot see it.

When God puts us in circumstances or situations, it is like being put in that dark room. If you could see portions of the room, then you could locate the direction you should be headed, and make decisions based on what the flashlight is allowing you to see. You could shine it around and get small glimpses of what the room looks like. IF you had a source of light, like a flashlight, you would feel so much more confident and secure. You know there is a way out, but you cannot see it. You are standing in the middle of the room, frozen. Christians, imagine a pitch black room, dark as a moonless night.
